Have you ever thought about writing a letter to the new woman in your ex’s life? In To the New Girl, ten women did just that. An award-winning feature film made by an all-female creative team and cast. Based on the popular play of the same name the 80-minute movie follows 10 women scorned as they directly address their exes’ new wives and lovers at an open mic night in Los Angeles.

Created by a dynamic group of emerging filmmakers at a time when audiences are demanding films made both by and for women, the project taps into a social and political climate that’s left women poised to take back their voices and be heard.

To the New Girl was awarded with Best Feature (First Time Filmmaker) and Best Writer at the Queen Palm International Film Festival in Palm Springs, a Semi-Finalist at the Anaheim International Film Festival, and an official selection at the Golden State Film Festival (where it premiered at the Chinese 6 Theatres on Hollywood & Highland), and the FEMINYSTA Festival. The film was also given the Parity in Action Badge by Women in Media for its commitment to creating gender parity in the film industry above and below the line.

The film is streaming now on a variety of platforms including Tubi, Plex, Xumo, Struum, Vimeo on Demand, Zuzu, and Amazon Video Direct. It also airs on the Alice Movies television channel, a channel named in honor of the first woman filmmaker, Alice Movies centers and celebrates women on screen and behind the camera.
